3. Both Teams Impressed In First Half
It’s not a common occurrence for both teams to not ever have to punt during the whole opening half of a game. Additionally, it’s even more challenging to avoid recording any turnovers either.
The Bills and Raiders managed to accomplish precisely that by each executing a scoring drive on their initial three possessions of the game.
An advantage was created for Buffalo by the Bills managing to find the end-zone twice while adding a field goal, too. It was the opposite for the Raiders as they scored just one touchdown and converted on two field goals. The result was a 17-13 lead for the Bills at halftime.
Interestingly enough, neither team managed to produce much on offense in the third quarter following up their successful first half.
