After a restful Wild Card weekend, the San Francisco 49ers, who secured the top seed, are gearing up to embark on their playoff journey this Saturday night as they face off against the Green Bay Packers.
The additional week of rest seems to have had a positive impact on the 49ers, as only one player, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, carries an injury designation with just two days left before the game.
As of Thursday’s report, Greenlaw is officially listed as questionable, signaling positive news for the team.
On a brighter note, star running back Christian McCaffrey has been removed from the team’s injury report and is set to take the field without any designation come Saturday.
McCaffrey has successfully recovered from a calf injury sustained during Week 17’s victory over the Commanders, an injury that forced him to sit out the season finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
While several other starters from both teams also missed that game, McCaffrey and the rest of the 49ers’ key players are determined to be back in action for Saturday’s crucial matchup.
The 49ers have made appearances in the last two NFC Championship games but fell short of reaching the Super Bowl. This year, they are determined to take the first step toward Super Bowl 58 by securing a victory against the resilient Packers in front of their home crowd on Saturday night.
