4. James White Leads Patriots in Receiving

New England scored 21 points in their season opener. Newton completed a pass to five different receivers throughout the game. Both Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry finished with five catches a piece. None went for big yardage as Newton had just 155 yards through the air.

James White has been one of the Patriots’ best weapons over the last few years. He finished with three catches for 30 yards against Miami. He was not a factor in the rushing attack with five carries for 22 yards.

White is a huge piece in the passing attack and that will show against the Seahawks. White has a chance to catch some screen passes and check downs in this matchup.

The wide receiving corps for the Patriots was not impressive. They thrive on short yardage plays and that is where White will excel.
