Similar to Judon, Yannick Ngakoue received the franchise tag from the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, unlike Judon, Ngakoue has been VERY vocal about wanting out of Jacksonville as soon as possible. Things have gotten to the point where he actually got into a heated discussion with Tony Khan — the son of Jaguars owner Shad Khan — on Twitter.

Ngakoue has been a pleasant surprise for the Jaguars, notching a total of 37.5 sacks and 14 forced fumbles in four seasons with the team as a third-round pick in 2016. Despite his contributions, Jacksonville has shown no desire to give him a long-term contract.

So far this offseason, there hasn’t been much trade interest drummed up for Ngakoue. Nevertheless, the Jaguars realize that Ngakoue isn’t going to play another snap for them and completing a trade with him will allow them to recoup a draft pick, at the very least.
