The San Francisco 49ers were expected to make another Super Bowl run this season, but so far, they have come out flat to begin the 2020 NFL campaign. After Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, the 49ers are facing one massive uphill battle.

They head into their Week 6 matchup against the 4-2 Los Angeles Rams in desperate need of a win. Even with starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo back in action, the 49ers put up a dud against the Dolphins.

Garoppolo was pulled and that right there could be an indication of where their season is headed.

If the 49ers can’t get the ship right against the Rams, it could be too big of a hole for them to overcome regarding playoffs. The 49ers were hit for 43 points and 436 yards against a team with a 37-year old QB. This cannot happen against the high-scoring offense of the Rams.
