The quarterback position plays such a pivotal role for a team’s success and with that naturally comes attention. That’s especially the case for a player when they are replacing an all-time great at this spot like Jarrett Stidham is set to do in 2020, making him an easy choice for this list.

An additional layer to add to this whole situation is the fact that Stidham is so inexperienced for a starter. After being selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, he went on to appear in only three games and has thrown a total of four pass attempts.

If Stidham fails to play at a high enough level, it’s quite possible the Patriots turn to another option on its roster at some point. However, he has a prime opportunity to be the next underdog story at the quarterback spot for New England and many will be watching to see if he can pull it off.
