Kevin Stefanski & Nick Chubb
If Hollywood made movies about perfect football pairing rather than romantic pairs, a film about Stefanski and Chubb would already be in the works.
Kevin Stefanski comes to Cleveland as their new head coach after growing and rising through the ranks of their coaching tree with the Minnesota Vikings, the “establish the run” capital of the NFL. And last season, Stefanksi’s first as a full-time offensive coordinator, he took the Vikings rushing offense from 29th in total yards the year before to sixth in the league.
And what will Stefanski be inheriting with his “run-heavy” coaching mentality? Only a roster with one of the most talented running backs in the league, the insanely productive Nick Chubb. In a broken offense in 2019, Chubb often felt like the lone bright spot, finishing second in the NFL in rushing yards with nearly 1,500.
A smart coach that loves to run, and a running back more than capable of shouldering a heavy load? The Browns might be set for one of the NFL’s most dangerous running games in 2020– which will only help their young quarterback, and will only be helped by some new additions along the offensive line.
