5 teams who should pursue Bengals WR AJ Green at trade deadline

Houston Texans

The Texans need receiver help in the worst way. But Houston needs to have a caveat here. The Texans just fired Bill O’Brien as head coach and general manager.

Romeo Crennel fills in as interim head coach, but who is acting as the general manager? Who has final say on personnel, or on decisions of this magnitude, such as a trade?

These questions need to be answered in Houston. But there is also the matter of compensation. O’Brien mortgaged the Texans future by trading away top picks for veterans.

AJ Green likely isn’t worth a first round pick, and possibly not even a second round pick. The price would have to be cheap for Houston to enter the picture as a potential trade partner with the Bengals.
