Analyst Makes Bold Packers Prediction For 2024 Season

Coming into the 2023 season, people weren’t expecting much from the Green Bay Packers. They had made a bold decision to move on from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, trading him to the New York Jets and beginning a youth movement.

The Packers were the youngest team in the NFL. Jordan Love, a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, took over as the team’s starting quarterback after making 10 appearances and one start in three seasons.

He was surrounded by a supporting cast that was even less experienced than him. Not a single wide receiver had more than one season of NFL experience on the active roster, as they were all first and second-year players. The same goes for the tight ends other than Josiah Deguara, who was the elder statesman entering Year 4.

Despite the lack of experience on offense, this unit really started to gel and click in the second half of the season. Love looks like a surefire starting quarterback in this league and he will only get better with more experience and the skill position players improving.

His development was the most important thing to the Packers in 2023. He showed plenty of it and even gained some valuable playoff experience, helping lead the team to a win over the Dallas Cowboys before losing to the San Francisco 49ers.

This is a team on the rise and one to keep an eye on in the coming years. Just how high of a ceiling does this Packers team have? As shared by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, there are people who believe they have Super Bowl potential and will raise the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the 2024 season.

“Yes, people are going there. Jordan Love proved a legitimate franchise quarterback, and the skill positions are loaded with first- and second-year players.

[Green Bay has] a young nucleus to build from — and the offensive line was playing really well,” a veteran AFC scout said. “The defense was up and down but finished the year much better. They’ve always had talent on that side of the ball. Can they be consistent,”” wrote Fowler.

That is certainly a bold prediction by the AFC scout who spoke to Fowler. They are certainly correct that the Packers look to be on the right path. People questioned their decision to move on from Rodgers but it looks to have been the right one.

They were better for it in 2023 and their future looks extremely bright. If they can find some help on the defensive side of things, this will be a dangerous team. There is a lot of talent to work with on that side of the ball, as picking the replacement for defensive coordinator Joe Barry is arguably the biggest decision Green Bay will have this offseason.
