With the NFL offseason about to get underway, the Baltimore Ravens are going to be an interesting team to keep an eye on. After coming up short in the AFC Championship Game to the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Jackson and company need to add more talent. If they want to take the final step and win a Super Bowl, they need to put together a big offseason.

Baltimore cannot afford to wait much longer. Just as fast as championship windows open in the NFL, they close just as fast.

Keeping that in mind, there is one area that the Ravens have been urged to pursue this offseason. It’s not a specific position, but more a general need. They need to get Jackson more weapons.

Pro Football Focus may have a suggestion that would fix those issues. They think Michael Pittman Jr. could be a perfect fit for the Ravens in NFL free agency this offseason.

“The Ravens finally hit on an early-round wide receiver with 2023 rookie Zay Flowers, but pairing his speed and field-stretching ability with an underneath target who can rack up yards after the catch would be a huge boost for Lamar Jackson.”

During the 2023 season with the Indianapolis Colts, Pittman put together a big-time year. He caught 109 passes for 1,152 yards and four touchdowns. His scoring numbers were a bit low, but he had Gardner Minshew throwing him the ball for the majority of the year.

At 26 years of age, Pittman is entering the prime of his NFL career. He would be able to come in on a three or four-year deal and be a major part of the Ravens’ championship goals.

That being said, there are going to be quite a few teams with interest in signing Pittman this offseason. First and foremost, the Colts would love to re-sign their star wideout. However, if he does leave, the Ravens would make a ton of sense.
