Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be facing the Cleveland Browns for the first time since the Browns waived him back in November 2021 this Sunday, so you would think Beckham would have some extra juice for the game.

However, Beckham insists that he holds no ill will toward his former club.

“Not to be like, ‘Oh, it’s another game to me,’ but it will be fun to go against these guys who are friends and brothers of mine,” Beckham said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “But definitely no animosity on my end for sure. A lot of love and respect.”

The wide out added that he made some great memories in Cleveland.

“I mean, I made great bonds and memories with those guys over there,” he said. “Once you’re on a team, you build a brotherhood that lasts way longer than anything else.”

Beckham spent two-and-a-half seasons with the Browns and was a considerable disappointment with them, reaching 1,000 yards just once and spending more than half of his second season there injured.

The 30-year-old ended up signing with the Los Angeles Rams midway through 2021 and helped the team win a Super Bowl.

He then took last season off before joining the Ravens back in the spring. He has logged 19 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown in seven games this year.

Odell Beckham Jr., who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the New York Giants with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Giants, making the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons after posting over 1,300 yards each campaign. New York traded him to Cleveland in March 2019.

The Ravens are 7-2 and hold a one-and-a-half game lead over the Browns for first place in the AFC North.
