The Baltimore Ravens made a big move this offseason when they signed star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in NFL free agency. It was a move that surprised some, as many thought he would head to the New York Giants. However, he opted to play with Lamar Jackson and become arguably the top wide receiver the Ravens have on their roster.

A lot of the Ravens’ contention hopes will rely on Beckham’s ability to be a top playmaker. Just a few short years ago, Beckham was one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL. Baltimore is hoping he can get back to that level of play.

With Week 1 action right around the corner, Beckham did not hold back and issued a major warning to the rest of the NFL.

NFL Insider Josina Anderson revealed what Beckham has said about the upcoming season.

“I can see myself being here. I feel like I’m ready to explode.”

Beckham missed the entire 2022 season rehabbing from his second torn ACL. He suffered that injury in the playoffs with the Los Angeles Rams the year before. While torn ACL’s are tough to recover from, Beckham played it smart and took his time to get back to full health.

Back in 2022 split between the Cleveland Browns and Rams, Beckham racked up 44 receptions for 537 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers weren’t great, but he came on strong for L.A. in the postseason.

In the playoff run, Beckham caught 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns in four games.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see how Odell Beckham Jr. looks with the Ravens this season. He seems primed and ready for a big year. If he’s able to accomplish those goals, Baltimore will be a serious team to watch in the AFC.
