Bills: What to expect from star WR Stefon Diggs in 2020

Following the departure of Tom Brady from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Buffalo Bills face a prime opportunity to potentially win the AFC East. That’s especially the case after trading for star wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings.

The 2019 season was a prime opportunity for Diggs to put his potential as a No. 1 receiver on full display. Adam Thielen was limited to just 10 appearances and Diggs managed to total 63 receptions, 1,130 yards (career-high), and six touchdowns.

There is plenty of reason for optimism surrounding the Bills during the upcoming 2020 season. There was a significant need to add a dynamic receiving threat to set the tone for the offense and they achieved precisely that. Additionally, Josh Allen could take the next step as a player.

The trade that sent Diggs from the Vikings to the Bills displayed a real show of confidence in his abilities. Buffalo acquired the star receiver in exchange for a 2020 first-round, a 2020 fifth-round pick, a 2020 sixth-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

When looking at the Bills’ offense, they will now have Diggs to set the tone along with solid complementary options such as John Brown and Cole Beasley. There is a healthy balance of skill-sets that will be difficult for teams to stop.

Taking all of that into consideration, let’s take a look at the production Stefon Diggs is expected to provide the Bills in 2020.
