Travis Kelce has solidified his future with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, committing to a new two-year contract extension, securing his place as the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed the deal, ensuring that Kelce remains a crucial part of the Chiefs’ offense alongside Mahomes.

Following the move getting done with Kelce, Mahomes spoke out and reacted to the news.

“I told yall I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy! @tkelce.”

At 34 years old, Kelce’s consistency and impact on the field are undeniable. While his streak of seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons came to a halt last year, he still contributed significantly with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns.

However, it was during the playoffs where Kelce truly shone, showcasing his elite skills with 32 catches, 355 receiving yards, and three touchdowns across four games as the Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl victory.

Beyond his on-field prowess, Kelce has been enjoying his offseason, often seen spending time with his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift. With this contract extension, Kelce has the opportunity to further solidify his legacy as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.

Over the next couple of seasons, he will continue to be a nightmare for opposing defenses and further enhance his already impressive resume. As always, watching Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce play together will be top-level entertainment for football fans.
