Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals won their second straight game on Sunday afternoon, topping the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 17-13 to improve to 3-3 on the season.

However, in spite of the victory and finally getting to .500, Burrow did not seem happy after the game.

Burrow appeared visibly frustrated during the postgame interview as he heaped praise upon the Bengals’ defense but made sure to note that the offense looked “horrible” in the second half.

Cincinnati mustered just three points over the final two quarters and totaled 214 yards of total offense in the win, indicating that while the Bengals are winning some games for a change, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.

Burrow himself went 24-for-35 with 185 yards, a couple of touchdowns and an interception in the win.

The 26-year-old struggled mightily over the first four weeks of the season due to a calf injury that has been nagging him since training camp. However, Burrow finally appeared to bust out of his slump in Week 5, going 36-for-46 with 317 yards, three touchdowns and a pick in a 34-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

That came after a miserable stretch of games for Burrow in which he totaled two touchdowns and two interceptions in Cincy’s first four contests of 2023.

While Joe Burrow certainly looked better against the Seahawks than he did in Weeks 1 through 4, his outing this past weekend was also a step back from the Cardinals victory.

At the end of the day, the Bengals have unquestionably saved their season the past couple of games, rebounding from a 1-3 start to move to within one game of the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North.

Cincinnati will have a bye in Week 7 in preparation for its Week 8 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.
