Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns surrendered a season-high 38 points against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon, but they still emerged with a one-point win.

During the victory, Garrett logged two sacks, giving him 82 sacks before his 28th birthday (he turns 28 in December).

With those sacks, Garrett passed legendary defensive end Reggie White for the most sacks prior to turning 28 years old (h/t Adam Schefter of ESPN).

On the season overall, Garrett has totaled 22 tackles, 7.5 sacks and a couple of forced fumbles.

Garrett, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was selected by Cleveland with the first overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He played in 11 games during his rookie campaign, registering 31 tackles and seven sacks. Garrett then broke out in his second season, racking up 44 tackles, 13.5 sacks and three forced fumbles en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The Arlington, Tx. native has since established himself as one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers, posting double-digit sack totals in every season from 2018 through 2022. Throughout that span, Myles Garrett has made four trips to the Pro Bowl and has earned a pair of First-Team All-Pro selections. He has rattled off 16 sacks in each of the last two seasons.

Surrendering that many points was unusual for a Browns defense that still ranks No. 1 in terms of yardage allowed this season. Prior to Week 7, Cleveland had not given up 30 points in any single week, with its worst effort coming in Week 5 when it permitted 28 points in a blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

But, at the end of the day, Cleveland got the win over the Colts to improve to 4-2 on the season in spite of a whole lot of questions at quarterback.

The Browns will look to win their third straight game when they head on the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks next weekend.
