The Cleveland Browns could use a true No. 2 wide receiver behind Amari Cooper going in 2024, and Bleacher Report’s Joe Tansey sees a perfect fit.

Reynolds is slated to hit free agency this March, and while he isn’t exactly a superstar, he will represent one of the better mid-tier options.

The 28-year-old played in all 17 regular-season games this year, hauling in 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns.

Great numbers? No, but they are solid, and if you throw Reynolds into a receiving corps that already includes Cooper and Elijah Moore (not to mention tight end David Njoku), the Browns would suddenly have one of the deeper groups of receivers in football.

Reynolds, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was originally selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He spent the first four years of his career with the Rams and posted unassuming numbers, with his best season coming in 2020 when he caught 52 passes for 618 yards and a couple of scores.

Reynolds signed with the Tennessee Titans that ensuing offseason, but he was waived midway through the 2021 campaign and went on to join the Lions.

His production has improved each year in Detroit, as he logged 19 catches for 306 yards and a pair of touchdowns in seven games with the Lions in 2021 before snaring 38 balls for 479 yards and three scores last season.

Of course, Detroit could always just re-sign Reynolds, and it has the cap space to do so. The Browns, meanwhile, will have to get their messy salary cap situation sorted out before they even think about signing any legitimate free agents.
