Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts are coming off of a massive Week 3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. After starting the season with a disappointing tie to the Houston Texans in Week 1 and a blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, beating the Chiefs was a huge step towards getting their season back on track.
Coming into the week, Taylor had been dealing with a nagging toe injury. That injury forced him to miss some practice time, but he should still be good to go for this week’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
One insane streak did come to an end for Taylor this week due to the toe injury though. Up to that point in his entire football career, Taylor had never missed a single practice.
For a player that has been used as a workhorse in every step of his football career, that streak is one of the craziest to be revealed. One of the best abilities for any player in sports is availability, and this shows that Taylor has been elite in that aspect.
So far this season in three games, Taylor has gotten off to a slower start than many were expecting. He has still racked up 286 yards and a touchdown on 61 carries. Taylor has also caught eight passes for 43 yards.
Indianapolis will hope that Taylor’s health continues to be excellent. Missing a practice is obviously a huge deal to Taylor, but at least he should be good to go for Sunday.
With all of that being said, this is an incredibly insane piece of news to note. Jonathan Taylor has officially missed his first practice of all-time. Now, it’s time to get back on the field and help lead the Colts to a huge Week 4 victory.
