The Dallas Cowboys were one of 30 teams watching Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles from their couches at home. The Cowboys made it further along than a majority of the league, but their losing streak in the Divisional Round reached seven games after being defeated by the San Francisco 49ers.

With their offseason beginning earlier than they had hoped, Dallas has already begun preparations on how they can get to the Super Bowl next year. The last time the Cowboys made the Super Bowl was the 1995 season when they won it. That was also the last time they advanced beyond the Divisional Round.

If they are going to snap that streak, one player who will assuredly be helping them do it is linebacker Micah Parsons. In his first two seasons as a professional, Parsons has cemented himself as one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL.

He won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021 and has made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams in both seasons. Parsons has earned those awards, racking up 26.5 sacks, 33 tackles for loss and 56 quarterback hits in two seasons.

As one of the burgeoning stars in the league, it makes sense that Parsons has already begun recruiting for the team for next season. Following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over the Eagles, Parsons took to Twitter to start recruiting.

Defensive lineman Calais Campbell tweeted that he really wants to play in Super Bowl 58. Parsons took this as a chance to recruit him to Dallas, telling him to put a star on his helmet, in reference to the Cowboys’ logo.

It has been a few seasons since Campbell was playing at a Pro Bowl level, but he showed in 2022 with the Baltimore Ravens he still has something left in the tank. He recorded 5.5 sacks with four tackles for loss and 14 quarterback hits, capable of still creating some havoc in the opposing backfield.

Turning 37 before Week 1, Campbell will likely be seeking an opportunity this offseason that not only gets him on the field but will help him in pursuit of a ring. The Cowboys could be one of the teams able to provide him that as his veteran leadership and steady production along the defensive line would be welcomed with open arms in Dallas.
