Dak Prescott, Quarterback
Dak Prescott enjoyed a spectacular rookie season in 2016, but has since been unable to recapture that same magic. He did his job against Philadelphia, though, completing 26 of 36 passes for 270 yards and a TD. Prescott also rushed six times for nine yards and a score.
The play of wide receiver Amari Cooper certainly helped Prescott’s cause. The two-time Pro Bowler caught six passes for 75 yards in his second game with the Cowboys. He also received a team-high 10 targets, so Prescott was clearly looking his way all night.
But the most important thing Prescott did was protect the ball. The 25-year-old entered Week 10 with a giveaway (interception or lost fumble) in five of the Cowboys’ first eight games. However, he committed no giveaways on Sunday night, although he did fumble for the eighth time in 2018.
Prescott managed the game very well, and that’s all the Cowboys ask of him. After all, they have a dynamic running back who usually carries the bulk of the offensive load. Prescott just has to remain steady and limit mistakes, which he was able to do against the Eagles.
