The Dallas Cowboys were hit with a massive reality check on Sunday, as they lost to the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 28-16 in their Week 3 matchup.

The defeat put an end to the Cowboys’ undefeated start which had caused some analysts to label Dallas a Super Bowl favorite.

Through the Cowboys’ first three games, it has become clear that their aerial attack is in need of a boost, as Dallas ranks just 19th in the NFL in passing offense. Dak Prescott has had some trouble finding his footing, and outside of CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys have not gotten much production out of their receiving corps.

With the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline looming, Dallas could very well be in the market for a wide receiver, and Jerry Jeudy of the Denver Broncos could represent a prime target.

The Broncos exercised their fifth-year option on Jeudy back in May, but the club has gotten off to an absolutely disastrous 0-3 start this season, most recently losing to the Miami Dolphins by a score of 70-20 (no that is not a typo) on Sunday afternoon.

As a result, Denver could aim to make some moves over the next five weeks. The Broncos did field offers for Jeudy over the summer, so it’s entirely possible that they could revisit trade talks.

The Cowboys could offer Denver a package that includes a 2024 second-round draft pick and a seventh-rounder, which would be a decent midseason haul for the Broncos.

Jerry Jeudy has logged eight catches for 106 yards thus far in 2023.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was selected by the Broncos with the 15th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

His most productive season to date came in 2022, when he hauled in 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns.
