Jackson will average at least 20 yards per catch
If the Eagles truly want to get the most out of Jackson and keep him healthy for the entire 2020 campaign, they should only use him as a pure deep threat. Since he entered the NFL in 2008, there hasn’t been another receiver in the league who’s averaged more yards per catch than Jackson.
His career average of 17.4 yards per catch is outstanding; not many receivers ever come close to that mark. He’s also averaged 20 yards per catch twice in his career, in 2010 with the Eagles and in 2014 with the Washington Redskins.
There’s a solid chance he can eclipse that mark again in 2020, especially if he’s exclusively used as a deep threat. He’s still an elite runner and can burn almost any corner who’s matched up with him.
It’ll be interesting to see how Pederson plans to utilize Jackson in 2020.
