1. Carson Wentz Breaks Own Record
Carson Wentz started all 16 games in the regular season in 2019. He has struggled with injuries but was able to make it through the season to lead the Eagles to the playoffs. He is the X-Factor for the offense in the upcoming season. The Eagles will be as good as their quarterback.
In 2019, Wentz threw for 4,039 yards, and he did it with limited weapons. This was the first time that an Eagles’ quarterback has thrown for 4,000 yards in franchise history. This puts Wentz atop of the leaderboard in terms of the single-season passing record.
In 2020, Wentz has a chance to break his own record and throw for 4,100+ yards. The Eagles have some injuries at the skill positions with Alshon Jeffery and Jalen Reagor. They will have DeSean Jackson back and some promising young weapons in Greg Ward and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.
Philadelphia will also feature Miles Sanders and two tight ends in Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. This is a team that likes to throw the ball a lot and likes to be aggressive. This fits well with Wentz’s skill set. He is in line for another big season in 2020.
