Eagles: 3 last-minute bold predictions for Philadelphia in 2020

Eagles, Carson Wentz

The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2020 season with Super Bowl aspirations. They were able to capture their first title in franchise history in 2017 and believe they can get back there with their current squad.

The Eagles believe Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson make up the perfect quarterback and head coaching duo to be successful. Pederson is an aggressive but genius offensive mind while Wentz could be one of the top quarterbacks in football when healthy. Over the years, that has been the issue. Wentz played all 16 games in 2019 and that is something he will have to do once again.

The defense improved when they traded for Darius Slay to slot at cornerback. Jalen Reagor was their first-round draft pick but he is unlikely to be ready for Week 1 against Washington.

The Eagles are banged up heading into the season, especially along the offensive line. It will take some work early on but they need to get off to a hot start.

Despite the injuries, this is a talented team that could compete in the NFC. Once the season begins, teams will quickly begin to separate themselves. Here are four predictions for the Eagles once they begin taking the field.
