Eagles: 3 players Philadelphia could trade before the 2020 season

1. Rasul Douglas

There have been instances in practice where Rasul Douglas would replace Darius Slay at cornerback if he took some reps off. Douglas, not Sidney Jones, would step in when needed. This is an interesting depth chart note. Avonte Maddox is expected to start opposite Slay but who could be the backup?

Douglas is hanging on to a roster spot in camp. This seems like an instance where the team does not want to just cut ties before the beginning of the season. Cutting Douglas completely would not make sense but getting a return for him in a deal is an option.

Douglas has spent three years with the Eagles and has started just 18 games. He has mostly been a bench option for the team.

Heading into the 2020 season, the Eagles could look to move a corner. Whether it is Jones or Douglas, they will decide when they hear returns. They could ultimately choose to keep both of them for depth. If they do decide to make a deal of any kind, it will likely impact their secondary.
