Darrell Henderson
Once again, Henderson was the talk of the town for the Rams entering the 2019 season after the team traded up to take him in last year’s draft. With Gurley still on the roster at the time, it was assumed that Henderson would unseat Gurley as the starter at some point.
However, injuries led to him not seeing the field much as a rookie. The Memphis product saw just 93 offensive snaps in 2019, which was a mere eight percent of the Rams’ offensive snaps. In his limited time on the field, Henderson recorded 184 scrimmage yards on 43 touches.
After having a minuscule role as a rookie, Henderson should see more opportunities in his sophomore campaign with the Rams. While Akers is the first running back to own in Los Angeles’ backfield unit, Henderson is the second running back to have if you’re someone that prioritizes having handcuffs in fantasy football.
2020 projections: 118 carries, 512 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns
17 receptions, 174 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown
