Russell Wilson‘s tenure with the Denver Broncos appears to be approaching its end. Despite no clear commitment from the coaching staff and front office about his return, various reports indicate that the team is considering parting ways with Wilson in the upcoming NFL offseason, thus allowing him to explore free agency.

With Wilson’s contract no longer posing a hindrance, numerous teams across the league could vie for his services.

NFL analyst and former Heisman Trophy winner, Robert Griffin III, has weighed in with a compelling suggestion: Wilson should consider joining the team that once bested him in the Super Bowl.

“The Patriots SHOULD SIGN Russell Wilson when he leaves the Denver Broncos. They are MORE LIKELY to sign Joe Flacco who worked with OC Alex Van Pelt in Cleveland last year. They WILL DRAFT A QB this year, but should allow him to learn for a year and take over in year 2.”

The New England Patriots present an intriguing option. Holding the No. 3 pick in the upcoming draft, they possess the opportunity to select a promising quarterback and have them undergo a developmental period while an experienced veteran takes the reins.

While the Patriots might not be immediate contenders in the AFC next season, strategic moves in the offseason could expedite their rebuilding process.

Under the leadership of new head coach Jerod Mayo, succeeding the legendary Bill Belichick, the team aims for a fresh start. Given the Patriots’ past setbacks, including a misstep with Mac Jones in the draft, acquiring a seasoned quarterback like Wilson could be the catalyst for success in Mayo’s inaugural season as head coach.
