Former NFL Star Makes Two Bold Giants Predictions For Offseason

The New York Giants are a team that a lot of people are keeping an eye on during the 2024 NFL offseason. They are one of several franchises that could be in the market for a new quarterback despite agreeing to a four-year, $160 million deal with Daniel Jones last offseason.

In addition to their quarterback problem, the team has several other areas of the team that need to be addressed. The roster has some legitimate building blocks, but overall, things need some work.

Offensively is where most of those problems lie. New York ranked near the bottom of virtually every offensive category in 2023, struggling to move the ball with any consistency. The Giants looked most competent with Tyrod Taylor under center, but their lack of success in the trenches and at the skill position groups was glaring.

Former NFL star wide receiver Brandon Marshall believes they will address that during the offseason. During a recent episode of his “I Am Athlete” podcast, he made some bold predictions for the NFL offseason.

NFL News & Rumors: Saquon Barkley, Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants Updates

Two of those predictions involved the Giants, who Marshall believes will upgrade their offensive skill positions. The first bold prediction he made was that All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs will be traded to the Giants from the Buffalo Bills. His second bold prediction was that star running back Saquon Barkley wouldn’t be going anywhere and would re-sign in New York.

Both of those moves occurring would certainly help out New York’s offense regardless of who is under center. It has become evident in the last few years that Barkley is their most important player on offense; they find zero success when he isn’t on the field.

Lacking a true No. 1 receiver since Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns, Diggs would help fill that hole. Some discussions have been had about his future in Buffalo, as some trade rumors centered around him last year.
