USC Trojans transfer wide receiver Michael Jackson III has officially committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, announcing his decision on Thursday.

Jackson, who has two years of eligibility remaining, becomes the latest addition to the Bulldogs’ receiving corps through the transfer portal this offseason. He joins the ranks of Colbie Young, who hails from Miami, and London Humphreys, previously with Vanderbilt.

This acquisition also marks a connection with Georgia’s coaching staff, as Jackson follows former USC defensive backs coach Donte Williams, who assumed the same role with the Bulldogs just last month.

During his time with the Trojans, Jackson showcased his skills in 24 games, amassing 46 receptions for 498 yards and contributing five touchdowns. Unfortunately, injuries plagued Jackson in the 2023 season, limiting his performance to 17 catches, 146 yards, and one touchdown.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot and weighing in at 200 pounds, Jackson arrived on the college football scene as the No. 64 wide receiver in the class of 2021. He also held the distinction of being the No. 4 player in Nevada, having excelled at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas.

Adding to his versatility, Jackson has experience as a punt returner, having returned 18 punts during his time at USC. This additional skillset provides Georgia with more options in the realm of return specialists.
