The Green Bay Packers entered 2023 with one major question: how would things go at quarterback?

For the first time since 2007, the Packers did not begin the season with Aaron Rodgers under center. Instead, Jordan Love was the one taking snaps, and while the early returns have been mixed, one cannot deny the talent and potential that Love brings to the table.

Love has pushed Green Bay to a 2-1 start, most recently leading his team to a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the New Orleans Saints this past Sunday.

Packers assistant head coach Rich Bisaccia sung Love’s praises this week.

“When you have a quarterback like number 10 doing the things he’s doing to extend plays and showing his leadership in the locker room…I think that brings the younger guys forward faster than they think they can,” said Bisaccia, according to Ryan Wood of USA Today.

Green Bay entered the fourth quarter of its Week 3 matchup against the Saints down 17-0, but ultimately emerged from Lambeau Field with an 18-17 win. Love was huge down the stretch, throwing a pivotal touchdown and piloting multiple scoring drives.

Of course, Love completed just 22 of his 44 passes in the triumph, but growing pains are expected for the young signal-caller.

Through the first three weeks of the season, Love has totaled 655 yards, seven touchdowns and an interception while completing 53.1 percent of his throws and posting a passer rating of 94.7. He has also rushed the ball 14 times for 74 yards and a score.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Utah State, was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Prior to this season, Jordan Love appeared in just 10 games and made one start, throwing three touchdowns and three picks.

Green Bay will host the Detroit Lions in a crucial NFC North showdown on Thursday night.
