Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are in uncharted territory this season.

For the previous 15 years, future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the face of the franchise, leading the Packers to a Super Bowl victory during the 2010-11 campaign and winning four MVP awards.

However, this past offseason, Rodgers and Green Bay parted ways, kicking off a new dawn in Wisconsin: the Love era.

The Packers took Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but because Rodgers was still under center for the first three years of Love’s tenure in Green Bay, the Utah State product didn’t see the field very much. However, there was no doubt that the Packers liked his talent.

With Rodgers now a member of the New York Jets, Love has gotten the chance to display his abilities this season, and while he has yielded mixed results thus far, it’s hard not to be impressed with the 24-year-old through two games.

Yes, Love had that head-scratching moment in the fourth quarter of the Packers’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, where he dove headfirst for a quarterback sneak before his center even snapped the ball. He is also completing just 55.8 percent of his passes, so there is no question that he could use some improvement.

However, leading the league in passing touchdowns and passer rating is no small feat. Plus, Love is yet to throw an interception. Keep in mind: Love had tallied three touchdowns and three picks in 10 total games going into 2023.

The Bakersfield, Ca. native went 14-of-25 for 151 yards and three touchdowns in Green Bay’s Week 2 defeat against the Falcons. In the Packers’ Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears, Love completed 15 of his 27 throws for 245 yards and three scores.

Jordan Love and the Packers will take on the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field next Sunday.
