The Pittsburgh Steelers have made significant moves this offseason, setting the stage for what could be a breakthrough year. The addition of quarterback Russell Wilson, a future Hall of Famer, alongside star linebacker Patrick Queen, positions the Steelers as potential dark horses in the upcoming NFL season.

Coming off a 10-7 record and a playoff appearance in 2023, these reinforcements could propel the team even further.

According to ProFootballTalk, the Steelers have made adjustments to their running back lineup in an effort to streamline their roster.

They are parting ways with Alfonzo Graham, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent last year. Graham did not see regular-season play due to a training camp injury—a torn labrum.

During his college football tenure, Graham showcased his talent across multiple institutions, including Arizona Western College, Fullerton College, and Morgan State University. His notable season at Morgan State featured a rush for 1,150 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022.

The Steelers’ running game remains strong with Najee Harris as the primary back, supported by Jaylen Warren. The acquisition of Russell Wilson adds a dynamic layer to their offense; his dual-threat capability enhances Pittsburgh’s ground game. Last season with the Denver Broncos, Wilson contributed 341 rushing yards and three touchdowns, alongside passing for 3,070 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Wilson’s transition from the Broncos to the Steelers marks the end of Denver’s challenging period with the quarterback. Now part of one of the NFL’s storied franchises, Wilson looks to contribute to the Steelers’ legacy and ambitions for greatness in Pittsburgh.
