Heading into the 2020 season, the Buffalo Bills have been widely considered as being the favorites to win the AFC East. They made a splash in the offseason by trading for Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings. Now with a No. 1 receiver, the offense could take the next step.

It will be important for the Bills to get the job done against teams like the Dolphins and Jets in order to fend off the Patriots in the AFC East standings. From a head-to-head standpoint, things will be easier on Josh Allen when facing off with New York.

The performance John Brown provided the Bills in their Week 1 win over the Jets showed some real vulnerabilities in New York’s defense. He ended that particular game with seven catches, 123 receiving yards, and one touchdown grab, proving to be too much to handle.

When factoring in the Bills adding Diggs into the mix, it’s difficult to envision the Jets not having issues containing Buffalo’s passing attack. Failing to get the job done could raise questions about Allen’s ability to reach franchise-quarterback status.

The direct impact Adams had in matchups with Allen proved to not be quite as great as the All-Pro safety had anticipated when he said he’d be ‘catching plenty of passes’ from the Bills quarterback. Regardless, not having to go. up against the versatile defensive back will make things easier in 2020.
