The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to sign Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.

It’s a three-year, $39 million deal, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Davis entered free agency as one of the more intriguing wide outs on the market.

The 24-year-old is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he played every game and caught 45 passes for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.

Davis, who played his collegiate football at the University of Central Florida, was selected by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He appeared in every contest during his rookie year, logging 35 catches for 599 yards and seven scores as he displayed big-play ability.

The following season, Davis’ production stagnated, as he snared 35 balls for 549 yards while reaching the end zone six times.

Then, in 2022, the Sanford, Fl. native enjoyed a breakout year of sorts, hauling in 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. Most impressive, he averaged a robust 17.4 yards per catch.

Davis has certainly not been a consistent receiver over the course of his career, but he is a terrific vertical threat and a gamebreaker who should absolutely make a difference in the Jaguars’ offense.

Of course, it also depends on what Jacksonville does with fellow wide out Calvin Ridley.

Ridley is hitting free agency, and with the Jags not having a ton of cap room, it may prove difficult for the club to re-sign him.

Should Ridley walk, the Jaguars would then be left with Christian Kirk and Davis as their top two receivers, which, while decent, is not exactly great.

Perhaps Gabe Davis can take the next step in the Sunshine State.

Jacksonville went 9-8 and missed the playoffs this past season after a second-half collapse. The Jags were 8-3 at one point.
