The Las Vegas Raiders are just 5-8 on the season and don’t seem to have much of a chance of making the playoffs, so some have wondered if they may end up resting some players the rest of the way.

However, edge rusher Maxx Crosby doesn’t want to hear of it.

“There’s a lot of bullshit going around talking about shutting people down because of this and that. But that’s a bunch of (expletive),” Crosby said, via Andrew Sicilinao of NFL media. “At the end of the day, we play and train all year round to play 17 guaranteed, so that’s what we plan on doing. We’ve got to finish the season strong, so it’s one at a time.”

Crosby has been dealing with a knee injury for the past several weeks. It hasn’t stopped him from playing, nor has it limited his production. As a matter of fact, he has remained dominant, logging four sacks over the last three games.

“Quick turnaround with the Chargers, so we’re definitely looking forward to getting out there again,” Crosby said, referencing the Raiders’ Thursday night matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

In 13 games this season overall, Crosby has totaled 76 tackles, 13.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Eastern Michigan, was selected by Las Vegas in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

He appeared in every contest during his rookie campaign, finishing with 47 tackles, 10 sacks and four forced fumbles. The following year, he took a bit of a step back, posting 39 tackles and seven sacks.

Crosby then proceeded to make back-to-back trips to the Pro Bowl in 2021 and 2022. The latter year was the more productive of the two for Crosby, as he racked up 89 tackles, 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and four passes defended.

The Colleyville, Tx. native has not missed a game since entering the league. He is listed as questionable against the Chargers, but barring any change in circumstances between now and Sunday, it seems like Maxx Crosby will almost certainly be playing.

Following their matchup with Los Angeles, the Raiders will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos to close out the regular season.
