LeBron James’ NFL fandom remains a mystery. Is the Los Angeles Lakers superstar a Dallas Cowboys fan? Or does he support his hometown Cleveland Browns? Maybe a bit of both?

Whatever the case may be, James sang the praises of Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons ahead of Dallas’ Week 4 matchup with the New England Patriots, calling Parsons a “flat out beast.”

Well, LeBron James was right about two things: Parsons is outstanding, and the Cowboys certainly won their game, annihilating the Patriots by a score of 38-3. The 35-point rout represents the worst loss that New England has ever sustained under head coach Bill Belichick.

Oddly enough, Parsons wasn’t a major factor in the win, logging just two tackles. It marked the first time he didn’t record a sack in a game all season.

Through four games in 2023 overall, Parsons has totaled 14 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Parsons, who played his collegiate football at Penn State, was originally selected by the Cowboys with the 12th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Harrisburg, Pa. native made an immediate impact during his rookie campaign, racking up 84 tackles, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Then, last season, Micah Parsons posted similarly phenomenal results, rattling off 65 tackles, 13.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown. He once again earned a trip to the Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors as a result.

The 24-year-old is considered one of the early favorites for Defensive Player of the Year this season.

Dallas improved to 3-1 with its win over the Pats and will head on the road for a showdown with the San Francisco 49ers in a potential playoff preview next weekend.
