Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson has grabbed headlines over the first few weeks of the season, demonstrating his versatility and superstar potential in the Colts’ 2-2 start.

Per NFL Rookie Watch’s X account, many scouts are saying that Richardson has “barely scratched the surface” of his potential.

Most recently, Richardson went 11-for-25 with 200 yards in a 29-23 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but don’t let the numbers fool you: the 21-year-old put together a scintillating second-half performance.

Down 23-0 in the third quarter, Richardson and the Colts came storming back by scoring 23 unanswered points to tie the game and send it into overtime. Richardson threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another during the rally, and while Indy ended up losing in the extra session, the young signal-caller was the center of attention afterward.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was thoroughly impressed with what he saw from the first-year player, saying that “the sky is the limit” for Richardson.

Richardson, who played his collegiate football at the University of Florida, was selected by the Colts with the fourth overall pick of the NFL Draft back in the spring.

In three starts this season, the Miami native has thrown for 479 yards, three touchdowns and an interception while completing 56.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 85.4. He has also carried the ball 23 times for 131 yards and four scores.

Richardson was sidelined during Indianapolis’ Week 3 win over the Baltimore Ravens due to a concussion he sustained the week prior.

At 6-foot-4 and 232 pounds, Richardson combines a unique blend of size and athleticism that few quarterbacks in NFL history have ever possessed.

In three seasons at Florida, Anthony Richardson totaled 24 touchdowns and 15 picks through the air while punching in 12 rushing scores.

The Colts will take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
