Miami Dolphins: 3-round post-Super Bowl mock draft

Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Round 2, Pick 39 – Terrell Burgess, Safety, Utah

Next up, the Dolphins hold the No. 39 overall pick in the second round. Miami will have addressed most of their main offensive needs and they can focus on their defense with this pick. One main position of need is safety.

With this selection, a guy like Utah safety Terrell Burgess could make a ton of sense. He had a big year in 2019, racking up 81 total tackles to go along with 0.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one interception, and five defended passes.

Burgess would be able to play a role immediately if called upon. Miami could focus on the safety position in free agency, but this would be a solid option in the early stages of the second round.
