Miami Dolphins: 3-round post-Super Bowl mock draft

Round 1, Pick 5 – Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

First up, the Dolphins are finally going to find their quarterback of the future. Justin Herbert has a chance to be an elite NFL starter and the Dolphins cannot afford to pass on him with this pick.

Many mock drafts have the Dolphins taking Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa with this pick, but Miami cannot pass on Herbert for him. Herbert has much better mechanics and does not have a serious injury that he is currently recovering from.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to be back in 2020, which would provide Herbert with an excellent veteran mentor.
