Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had an uncharacteristically rough performance in his team’s loss to Hill’s former Kansas City Chiefs club in Germany on Sunday, as Hill dropped a couple of passes and lost a fumble that the Chiefs returned for the game-deciding touchdown.

Afterward, Hill said he is ready to move on and learn from his mistakes in Week 9.

“As a receiver, I never think about how many drops I got in a game. I’m always thinking about the next play, baby,” Hill said, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “That’s how I became who I am today. Everybody drops passes. It happens. But it’s all about how you move on to the next play. I’ve got to learn from it, go to the film room, learn from it, and find better ways to get open.”

While Hill credited Kansas City’s defense, he said it is his responsibility to make things happen for his team.

“I think I played overall pretty well,” said Hill, who logged eight catches for 62 yards in the 21-14 loss. “Some tight window throws, and those guys did a great job of making it hard on me all day. They did a great job. They had a real good plan on slowing us down at the line of scrimmage. It’s on me to make plays. That’s why they brought me here, to make plays in these type of games. I feel like the way the game went, it was a team game, and our defense played amazing.”

The Dolphins still have the top-ranked offense in the NFL, but there is no question that the team hasn’t looed quite the same against strong opponents.

Miami has played three teams that currently have winning records this season: the Buffalo Bills, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chiefs.

The Dolphins have lost all three of those games and have averaged just 17 points per game in those contests in spite of averaging 31.7 points per game on the season as a whole.

Tyreek Hill leads the NFL in both receiving yards (1,076) and receiving touchdowns (eight) and has hauled in 69 receptions through the first nine games of the year.

The 29-year-old is angling to make his eighth straight Pro Bowl appearance.

Miami has a Week 10 bye and will aim to get back on track when it battles the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 19.
