The New York Giants have agreed to sign Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

It’s a one-year, $5 million deal. The money is fully guaranteed.

Lock is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he played in four games and made two starts. During that time, he threw for 543 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 63.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 81.2.

His highlight of the season came in Week 15, when he stepped in for an injured Geno Smith and led the Seahawks to a comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He went 22-for-33 with 208 yards and a game-winning touchdown pass in the contest.

Lock, who played his collegiate football at the University of Missouri, was originally selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

He made five starts during his rookie year, totaling 1,020 yards, seven touchdowns and three picks while completing 64.1 percent of his throws and registering a passer rating of 89.7.

The following season, Lock started 13 games and struggled, finishing with 2,933 yards, 16 touchdowns and a league-worst 15 interceptions while completing just 57.3 percent of his passes and recording a 75.4 passer rating.

He spent one more year with the Broncos in 2021, appearing in six games with three starts. He threw for 787 yards, a couple of touchdowns and a pair of picks.

That ensuing offseason, Denver traded Lock to Seattle.

The 27-year-old did not get on the field for the Seahawks at all in 2022, but he showed this past season that he does have some talent.

We’ll see what the Giants’ plans are for Lock in 2024.
