NFL Free Agency 2020: 4 ideal landing spots for WR Taylor Gabriel

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Falcons

Instead of going to a team that he’s unfamiliar with, why not join a team that he had success with earlier in his career? Prior to signing with the Bears in 2018, Gabriel spent the previous two seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons.

While he was with the Falcons, Gabriel was able to be a decent No. 3 option for Matt Ryan. That is exactly what his role could be if he chose to return to Atlanta for the upcoming season.

Currently, the Falcons deploy a receiving corps that is spearheaded by All-Pro Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. Behind Jones and Ridley, Atlanta’s receiving corps is a bit lackluster, with Laquon Treadwell — a former first-round pick that hasn’t been able to find much success in the NFL — and Russell Gage. With that being said, Gabriel could choose to sign with the Falcons due to his previous success with Ryan.
