Troy Pride Jr., Cornerback, Carolina Panthers
A bit of an unknown coming out of Notre Dame, Troy Pride Jr. ended up being taken in the fourth round by the Panthers. They need some help in the secondary and while Pride may not be ready to step into a huge role immediately, he does have a lot of potential.
Pride had a rough 2019 season with the Fighting Irish, racking up just 40 tackles, one interception, and six defended passes. The year before, however, he had a much better season with 47 tackles, two interceptions, and 10 defended passes.
Carolina will look to develop Pride over the next few years, although he could earn some playing time in 2020. He has the potential to become a starter or quality role player at some point in the future and Panthers fans should be excited to see what he brings to the field.
