Antonio Gandy-Golden, Wide Receiver, Washington Redskins
Another very intriguing name to keep an eye on from the fourth round is wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden, who was drafted by the Redskins with the No. 142 overall pick. Coming out of a small school like Liberty is never easy, but Gandy-Golden didn’t let that hold him back.
He caught 79 passes for 1,396 yards and 10 touchdowns last season at Liberty. Washington has a need for wide receivers behind Terry McLaurin and Gandy-Golden could earn himself a role right off the bat.
At 6-foot-4 and nearly 225 pounds, Gandy-Golden has the size, speed, and athleticism to be a solid piece for the Redskins’ offense. Despite all of the odds being stacked against him, Gandy-Golden has turned his dream into a reality. Now, fans should watch to see how he develops and whether or not he can be the next diamond in the rough from a small school.
