NFL Analyst Brutally Rips Into Bills QB Josh Allen Before Week 11

The Buffalo Bills are set to face off against the New York Jets in Week 11 in Orchard Park. With both teams riding two-game losing streaks, this is essentially a must-win game for both franchises if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.

There is immense pressure on the Bills this weekend as they already lost to the Jets once, in Week 1 to kick off the season. Losing a third consecutive game, and second straight to a team under .500 at kickoff, would certainly be detrimental.

Looking to shake things up offensively, Buffalo made a major change to their coaching staff less than 24 hours after losing to the Denver Broncos in Week 10. Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey was fired and has been replaced by quarterbacks coach, Joe Brady.

It was certainly a shocking move, as the Bills have a top-10 offense this season and have been elite under Dorsey, who took over for Brian Daboll in 2022 after he left to take the head coach job with the New York Giants. Many franchises would be happy with the performance Dorsey oversaw, but head coach Sean McDermott wanted a change.

Ultimately, it seems as if Dorsey is being used as a scapegoat for quarterback Josh Allen. It isn’t Dorsey’s fault that Allen has been careless with the ball again, leading the league in turnovers with 11 interceptions and two fumbles.

The performance of Allen is something that has led to analyst Skip Bayless calling him out during a segment of UNDISPUTED on FS1. Bayless took a shot at Allen, which he has been doing throughout his career, for his tendency to turn the ball over.

“Josh Allen is the ultimate turnover machine in the NFL,” Bayless said in a segment with former NFL stars Keyshawn Johnson and Richard Sherman.

The Bills have a major issue to figure out when it comes to Allen. He has arguably the strongest arm in the NFL, which Bayless is correct in calling it a blessing and a curse. Allen is capable of making some incredible throws and plays on the field that no one else can make, but it also gets him in trouble, which results in damning turnovers.

Allen has thrown at least one interception in six straight games. It is not a coincidence that the Bills’ best stretch of football this season came when Allen had only one turnover in three games, leading to three blowout wins over the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins.

Buffalo remains a dangerous team, but the Allen turnovers need to get cleaned up. Too often this season he has ruined any chance the team had of winning a game with untimely turnovers. Now, they are fighting for their playoff lives in Week 11 as a result.
