NFL Analyst Brutally Rips Into Commanders’ New Coach

Washington Commanders, NFL Draft

There’s certainly a hint of truth when examining the resume of Kliff Kingsbury, the newly appointed offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders, prompting questions about the depth of his accomplishments. But does this scrutiny justify labeling Kingsbury as “the biggest fraud in football”?

That’s the bold assertion made by CBS Sports Radio show host Damon Amendolara during Super Bowl Week in Las Vegas, as he discussed with The Team 980’s Craig Hoffman. Amendolara didn’t hold back, offering some pointed criticisms.

“I think he is the biggest fraud in football. Because he has not succeeded anywhere he has been to any significant degree.”

He highlighted Kingsbury’s tenure as head coach at Texas Tech, pointing out that his best season resulted in a 7-5 record, albeit with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback.

It’s worth considering a counterpoint: Mahomes, who recently secured his third Super Bowl victory in the last five years as the Kansas City Chiefs QB, has spoken highly of Kingsbury.

However, Amendolara persisted, arguing that Kingsbury’s postseason stint with the Arizona Cardinals showed a glaring lack of preparation.

Furthermore, Kingsbury faced criticism for his role as an assistant on the USC staff, particularly regarding his handling of QB Caleb Williams, a potential top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and a possible target for the Washington Commanders with the No. 2 overall pick.
