Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are set to begin their 2023 NFL season with a date against the Chicago Bears in a major rivalry in Week 1 action. It’s a tough way to start for Love in his first career start in the post-Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay. However, it’s exactly the kind of game that can set the tone for the entire season if they can start strong with a big rivalry win.

Matt LaFleur has been very vocal about his belief in Love, as has the rest of the Packers’ organization. Love’s teammates have also come out in strong and vocal support for their new quarterback.

Despite all of the positive quotes and feelings coming out of Green Bay, Love will still have to prove what he is capable of on the field.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine did not hold back with his feelings on Love. He made a massive bold prediction for Love’s first season as the Packers’ starter, going as far as to say he will be better than Rodgers in 2022.

So far in Love’s short NFL career, he has played sparingly in just 10 games. He has completed 60.2 percent of his pass attempts for 606 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. Love has also picked up 26 yards on the ground, which is an area he should improve drastically this season.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Love does have quite a few weapons to work with. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are both back to provide top-notch support on the ground. His receivers are young, but are extremely talented with Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed leading the way.

It would take a lot for this season to be more disappointing than last. No one has Super Bowl expectations for this year’s team, which gives them the exciting underdog role that the Packers haven’t had for awhile.
