NFL Analyst Predicts Intriguing Aaron Rodgers To Raiders Trade

Aaron Rodgers, Raiders

Arguably the biggest storyline this offseason is what will happen regarding Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It is looking more and more likely that if he continues his playing career, it will be with a different franchise.

There have been different rumors swirling about the Packers being ready to move on from Aaron Rodgers, ready to see what Jordan Love has. Love was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft after Green Bay traded up to select him. He has only made spot starts and appearances since being drafted, but it sounds like the Packers want to see if he has what it takes to be the long-term starter.

If that is the case, where is Aaron Rodgers going to end up? There have been a few teams mentioned as possible landing spots. One of the teams mentioned most often is the Las Vegas Raiders.

Aaron Rodgers ending up in Sin City is one of the five trades to watch out for that was mentioned by PFF. What would it cost to land him? The price for the Raiders to acquire Aaron Rodgers is very similar to what they paid to land Davante Adams during the 2022 offseason.

Las Vegas would send a 2023 first-round pick (No. 7 overall) and a conditional 2024 second-round pick, that can become a first-round pick, to the Packers in exchange for the future Hall of Famer. His contract is a major hold-up, which is why a conditional pick is on the table in next year’s draft.

There is a chance that the Raiders only get one season out of Aaron Rodgers before he rides off into retirement and it would cost nearly $60 million for that. That is something the Raiders would likely want some clarification about before pulling the trigger on such a massive trade.

There would certainly be some hurdles to work through, such as the potential personality conflict between Aaron Rodgers and head coach Josh McDaniels. But, if they can all get on the same page about winning being the No. 1 priority, they should be able to make things happen with relative ease.
