The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the more intriguing teams to watch with the 2023 NFL season about to begin. No one truly knows what to expect from Davante Adams, Jimmy Garoppolo, and the rest of the squad. Some believe they could be a playoff team in the AFC, while others are expecting a dismal season.

Most of that has to do with what they get from Garoppolo under center. After moving on from Derek Carr, the Raiders are taking a huge gamble on Garoppolo. The gamble could also come at the cost of losing Adams, due to the fact that a huge point of signing with the Raiders was to play with Carr.

Rumors have begun swirling that Adams could try to find a trade out of Las Vegas if things don’t start well this season. Some have even speculated that he could try to reunite with Aaron Rodgers on the New York Jets.

One NFL insider did not hesitate adding fuel to the fire of Adams potentially being traded by the Raiders. ESPN’s Dan Graziano talked about the possibility in a recent column.

“I’m not saying they’ll trade him. I don’t even know if they’d consider it. If he doesn’t believe he fits in the Jimmy Garoppolo-led offense, and if the season in Las Vegas gets off to a bad start, Adams could absolutely start making noise about wanting out.”

Should Adams find himself on the trade block, there would be no shortage of potential suitors. He is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL, although many would pick Justin Jefferson over him.

During the 2022 season with the Raiders, Adams ended up putting together another big-time year. He caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Moving on from Carr was a tough decision for the franchise and Adams was clearly not happy with the move. If the team can find success early on, Adams may buy back in. However, there are clearly issues between Adams and the Raiders.

Expect to continue hearing rumors and rumblings about Davante Adams’ future with the Raiders as the season progresses. This situation does not seem to be over by any stretch.
