During Saturday’s NFL playoff action, the Baltimore Ravens, led by Lamar Jackson, secured their place in the AFC championship game by defeating the Houston Texans with a decisive 34-10 victory at M&T Bank Stadium.

Jackson delivered an outstanding performance, completing 16-22 throws for 152 yards and two touchdown throws, while adding 100 rushing yards and two touchdown runs, marking a unique achievement in NFL history with a pair of both passing and rushing touchdowns. His display on the field reinforced his status as the frontrunner for the NFL MVP award and one of the most unique talents in league history.

Initially, the contest was evenly matched, with both teams at a 10-10 stalemate at halftime. However, the Ravens dominated the second half, scoring 24 uninterrupted points and comfortably securing the win.

After the game, Jackson shared that he played a significant role in motivating the team during the halftime break, admitting to using strong language to spur his teammates into action. He acknowledged the Texans’ solid defense and offense but emphasized that the Ravens needed to step up their game, which they did in the second half, effectively executing their strategy.

“A lot of cursing at halftime. It would be inappropriate if I said it right here,” Jackson told reporters. “We wasn’t really doing anything to that defense. They were playing great, the offense was playing great as well, but we wasn’t doing our job with our unit. In the second half, we went to put points on the board, started moving the ball, moving the chains. Started looking like ourselves.”
